QUESTION: My husband is a back, side, stomach sleeper and I am an exclusive right side sleeper! We are looking to upgrade our uncomfortable queen mattress we got 7 years ago. It is not a name brand and we purchased it because it was in our budget and the size we needed at the time. We need a king size mattress but are unsure what we should be getting so that we are both comfortable. Both our parents have memory foam mattresses of some kind and we have found that we do not like them as they are too soft and have too much cushion. Any suggestions would be very helpful in our search!
ANSWER: You're going to need some cushion, as side sleepers, to give with your hip and shoulder. But too much will be uncomfortable for your husband when he is on his back and stomach. There are lots of mattresses that will provide that medium feel. The one I would show you is the best dollar for dollar value on the market. The Sealy SpringFree Beachside latex is the most durable. It's easy to find a mattress with the feel you like. The hard part is having it stay that way for any real length of time. The Beachside is thee starting model in the Seal SpringFree line and has the medium feel you want. Either way, there's free delivery and no sales tax.
